Hi~ I'm a korean freediving mania. I'm looking for the best(cheapest?) freediving equipment online shop.
I visited deeperblue online shop. but the shipping cost is too expensive to me because i'm living in Korea. it's almost over 100euro.
plz tell me the cheapest or the best freediving equipment online shop.

thanks for read my poor english question. ^^

Nothing wrong with your English mate its better than mine and I live there.
You could try Spearo Dave he’s on this forum as Dave.
All the best.

i think its worth checking online shops in the states maybe the west coast, shipping could be cheaper than europe maybe because of the travel distance, maybe even hawaii skin diver, based out of hawaii, that would probably be your best bet...try searching for them on google..
ill look for it too and maybe get back to you

ladiien,

i recently bought a whole bunch of stuff from www.spearfishinggear.com

i found them to have fantastic customer service---a couple of small problems arose regarding my order BUT were immediately resolved to my complete satisfaction.

i really would recommend these guys.

unfortunately, i do not know how much their shipping rates will be to korea.

cheers,
sean
vancouver, canada

ps. perhaps try and find japanese-made freediving gear or perhaps japanese dealers for equipment as the shipping would be more reasonable

You may note I have edited this thread a bit. For anyone that has not taken the time to read through the forums at DB, understand that there is a harmonious and tolerant nature here that grew of it's own accord, with the occasional nudge from Moderators to keep it clean plus a complete ZERO TOLERANCE for racism in any shape or form. You are on an international forum if that helps you to justify your future considerate use of language.
In any case think before you post.

Erik

I want everybody to know I am not a rasist. If I would not like Jews I would never buy from them obviously. Well, I buy a lot from them and everybody knows who owns LeisurePro in New York (Saturday closed...) If You are well travelled, You went to Arabic countries and Israel, You simply know how to buy for less and seller (Jew in this case) likes to negotiate too. That's all I meant. Peace and love for our beautiful planet

Thanks nostres, I considered that you're intention was not to hurt, but on the internet we are limited by the lack of ability to properly communicate as we would in a coffee shop sharing stories, face-to-face.
Words are so easily misinterpreted in print and we just have to be careful.
Respect for your response,
Happy Holidays,
Erik

subprof.com is the pits.

I've been burned by them before with bait-and-switch. What they ship you is not what you see on the website. They know shipping cost is prohibitive to return and trying to contact them is like talking into deep space.

Good experience with spearfishinggear.com, flfreedivers, scubastore.com, leisurepro, etc.

But avoid subprof.com.

I guess those are things that happen... (unfortunatly) but i had a good experience with subprof and a not so good with spearfishinggear...

I'm beginning to wonder about Subprof. I've placed two orders for an assortment of gear, and have yet to see any of it. The first order was placed in July! When I inquire, they keep telling me that everything is back-ordered, and they should know more in a couple weeks. They even attempted to bill me for my purchases without shipping the goods. Can't say if I'll give them much repeat business at this rate.

They were out of stock when I ordered from them but the stuff arrived within 3 weeks of my order which I thought was fair enough. Makes you wonder about them because "everyone" has the same story :(

I have used Spearfishinggear.com and both times were back ordered. But received good customer service when they called and upgraded my floatline for six more dollars for a floatline that cost almost $35.00 more. :D They shipped the upgraded line immediatly. I also received my back ordered flashers in about 4 weeks.

The cheapest shops are probably the italian ones, just because most of the finest freediving gear is made in Italy (Cressi, C4, Omer, Elios, Mat Mas, Sporasub et cetera et cetera). But shipping costs will kill you anyway.
Assuming that you don't buy fins every day, why don't you just bide your time and drive to a real shop whenever possible, where you can also try the fins and suits and check how they fit on you before buying? If possible, it's the best thing to do.

Ladien,

Have you looked at the prices and selection here on DeeperBlue (Home/Shop)? Good variety, good prices, and very nice people to deal with. Also supports this great forum!

Happy New Year, gumsa hamnida
