hi,

Beuchat Mundial Competition Speargun - 100cm for $179 or Beuchat 'Espadon' Sport Speargun 90cm for $119. Which speargun would be better for a beginner, i will be spearfishing around victoria. i will be using it in shallow water around 5-10m. will i have trouble using a 16 mm band on the mundial, because the epadon has a 13mm band. they are both from the adreno online spearfishing shop.

Hi Nelson, check out the "FreeDivers" brand of speargun. They are readily available in Oz. These guns are the quality of Rob Allen guns ( better I think than the R A's.) with out the high price point markup!
The guns come rigged with one 20mm thick sling, or two 18mm slings.
I personally can not pull back the 20mm.on my 140cm rail gun.
~~~> I sent a P.M. to you.
Cheers Kerry.
hi mate so did you find a right gun u want to use if not just PM me i can help you with some cheaper spearguns :)
Hi Nelson, what do u think of ur gun? I want to buy one of those for my dad, who is a beginner. Do u think is a good gun? Cheers
I think Nelson has caught the bug Anawegner so hopefully I can answer for him. In recent years the Beuchat brand has become a little passe or naff (unfashionable) because they are very, very widely available & the price has therefore come down even further. Which as far as I'm concerned is excellent news, mainly because their spearguns are top quality build, easy to handle and highly accurate. I've got both a Mundial 75 and an old Arka 90 and both guns are outstanding. I have had the Arka for 6 years with no major repairs & even if I did... parts are cheap and easy to get hold of - for the price I really couldn't ask for better... and nor could your Dad! - Luck & Light
