Hello everyone!
new to this forum and ready to overload you guys with questions :D

I am heading out to Corsica in tomorrow night, and have been looking fora speargun for the trip. My current options are the following:

cressi Geronimo 115
Omer cayman ET 115
riffe padauk competitor 45"
Omer master america teak 115

All guns come with reels except for the riffe :/
I will be targeting mainly giltheads and detex, so long range shots, shy fish. Once in a while a leerfish comes along so i am worried about leaving out a reel. buying the reel extra for the riffe costs as much as a new gun, so i might have to improvise something.

I have been pondering this for so long its driving me crazy, i really need help deciding!!!

My thoughts:
The cressi geronimo sounds decent, but not great.
the cayman ET is a bit controvertial due to enclosed track, plus im curious about wood guns.
The riffe padauk gets great reviews, but this is the competitor series, which i have the feeling isa bit of a beginners gun.
The Master America is Omers first wood gun, so im afraid it might have been something of a "first pancake". Havnt found ANY reviews on it whatsoever.

All comments are GREATLY appreciated!

Haha, just make sure you have one . then let us know what you think of it.

I just got back from Sardinia. It was great being able to walk into not one but two spearfishing stores with all the nice shiney stuff and in a village.

I liked the look of the Omer.

I went for the OMER ET.
they were out of the 115 so i got the 105 :(
anyway i will write a review on it when i get it. meanwhile i took out my brothers mares phantom 95 and it is a really really good gun for the price. easy aiming, good accuracy with open set up.
the only problem i encountered isa defect with the safety switch...
after having pulled the trigger with the safety ON (i wasnt familiar with the gun), the gun discharged at the slightest touch after turning it OFF
in my case that meant that the gun fired when i touched the trigger before i had correctly aimed, and cost be a nice meal :/
but that mistake will not be repeated.
anyway i will post a review of the et once it arrives...
