Does anyboby use the mares apneology 5mm wetsuit or the cressi-sub world competiton 5mm?...

which would you recommend for mostly freediving and only occassional spearfishing...

if you reccomend another brand then please tell me ( haven't been reccommended to elios but have got the time to wait for the suit to be made)..

i'm looking at getting a suit in the next few days and would just like your opinions ...

hi steve
depends on where you dive and what you want it to do i have the cressi 5mm comp and find it great it was a perfect fir for me but that means it may not suit some one else of a different body shape. i cant fault it and have used it here in ireland with temps usually 14o C but it depends on your climate sea etc. I scuba dived in it once and only really found it cold at depth 25m for a prolonged period.
I have an elios suit since and the custom made is the better as you know it will fit you properly

hi,
i am interesting in apneology to, but i sew one 2,5 without open cells. are there 5mm without open cells to?

i have a cressi comp 5mm and a cressi world comp 3.5mm. both are great and the nylon exterior coating has held up against much scraping against rocks and concrete wave-breakers where i dive. i'm lucky that they fit me, and like fcallagy said, it's a deal breaker if the suit doesn't go with your body type. that said, i had to make some adjustments to make my suits fit comfortably (repositioning beavertail clips on the 3.5mm and cutting the shoulder straps on the 5mm). but if you have time and about 20 more Euro you can get a perfect fit elios which seems to be better bet. there's a recent thread on which someone posted a whole bunch of elios wetsuit options and their prices. good luck!

don t break my b### wetsuit !

Nice stuff, I ll look at Elios and see.
Until now I thought of purchasing Cressi.

:naughty One thing I don t like with wet suits is this tail that goes between your legs and holds your balls hopefully in the good position... or very much painfully otherwise.:crutch
