Can you help? Along my travels amongst the freedive community I recall seeing a pure silver monofin but I can't remember who it was manufactured by. I've got a documentary shoot coming up and I've been asked to get hold of the silver fin.... Any ideas?! Name and contact info for the manufaturer would be awsome. Thanks!

No, it wasn't painted. It was some kind of silver carbon......

Flu is getting better, but SLOWLY!! Been home a week and still sleeping at least 15 hours a day!! It kicked my a** so I hope I didn't share it with too many divers in Nice......

Emma Farrell refers to using one in an article in the archives, she might know, would be worth an email :)

A while ago i wanted to make my own blade and Mad Max came up with this.[ame="http://forums.deeperblue.net/showthread.php?t=51422"]Making a monofin blade[/ame]

Breier in France makes silver mono with some kind of silver carbon.
I don't have good picture but it looks like this.

Howard made a silver monofin. Emma Farrell has it I think. It looked great but was like trying to swim with a piece of soggy cardboard on your feet!

To answer your question Alison, I might have got it sorted out! There seem to have been a few options, some waaaay too expensive and another that called upon me to be good with some thin silver neoprene and lots of glue. I opted out and am investigating another option..... Drop me a private message if you are interested to know more - I will happily share the info when I know how exactly I will proceed.
