when i walk while holding m brother my apnea time is cut in half and feels much more painful, this worries me because how will i free dive when underwater i will be moving around a lot

When holding your breath just sitting calmly it is called "static" breath hold - when you are moving around such as apnea walks or swimming underwater it is called "dynamic" breath hold.
So when you are doing statics you are not burning much oxygen because you are not using muscles. But when you do dynamics you are burning more oxygen because your muscles are moving. So for typical dives, a person can last 2 or 3 time longer in a static breath hold than in a dynamic breath hold.

Also, I too think apnea walks are uncomfortable and so I don't them. You may find that swimming underwater is less uncomfortable, even fun. I think it has something to do with being weightless.

Another thing to remember is that when you are underwater you should not be moving around a lot. Relaxation and slow smooth movements are highly desireable.
