Tanya always looks hot to me :D

Though I think the part shown looks ok, Freediving recorded with nice camera's always isn't it? I often cringe when I see what and how certain quotes are used. The ones that refer to danger risk and death. In the last minutes I noticed Tanya made a remark, and after the last word left her lips I think I saw her notice her own words with a sense of 'oh I did not ment to say that'.

Media is a difficult to deal with, especially when they are trust inspiring and show 'genuine' interest (journalist are trained to do this btw). Back in the studio it's back to the network and their sponsors interest. Appealing to a wide (6+ year old) audience, the content is simplified into base emotions, and if possible tailored to current political flows.

I'm looking forward to the rest of the piece, see how the full product turns out.

Kars- when i used to do art for galleries i once had a local paper print an interview with me that never even took place they just made one up..no joke rofl

Did you read the comments below the video [ame="http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=50138935n"]How it feels to black out - 60 Minutes - CBS News[/ame]? Audiences seem to have the same concerns. The clip just tells that blacking out is not dangerous, but it does not show anything about precautions made in freediving. Neither are made differences between blacking out for a few seconds and minutes.

Yep, it makes me think that there are no adult programs in the US, targeting adults that is.
These mothers should have realised, this is a sport for response able people, not for kids. In freediving the key difference is the close presence of a skilled rescue person.
In competition breath-hold diving the objectives are: 1 staying in control, 2 making the desired number. NOT to Black out.

I think Tanya was struggling with this difficult catch 22 like question, William was a bit more relaxed about it, and he actually demystified it a bit, made it less spectacular then people misjudge Black outs to be.

However these interviews should help and motivate us to think of a concise and good answer to such questions in case people ask us.
What would your answer be?

yeah i think it says allot when the only relevant well thought out news commentary u get here come from the daily show, simpsons, south park. Wondering if it would matter if u had a better response for network, either they would edit it towards the end they want, add the negatives in themselves or simply not air it at all. The best thing is for free diving to get its own media out more, documentaries etc. and control it more from the sports end which it has done a relatively poor job doing thus far. That said as far as the comments go u mostly get the knee jerk crybabies on those anyway, I got calls and emails from many people that know i free dive that were very excited to see it and thought it was great.

How funny,
just wanted to comment the video on cbs "how it feels to black out" when I found that it has been removed ...

All my thoughts for nothing :). Well, the clip was bad anyway.

Yup - it's gone. Looks like they didn't want the controversy!

William just needs to put a flag on the bottom, then he's the owner. Can't you see what he's secretly up to? All these WR's etc are just camouflage... ;)
