As most of you know, we are cutting down the number of formal meets through the winter this year. Last year it got a bit of a pain in the **se turning up with a full scuba team ready for a solid weekend's diving to find that suddenly all the freedivers were sick, or a bit tired, or had some other fantastic excuse not to turn up when it was a little bit chilly..... :ko

So this year, through the winter we will be diving as and when we feel like it instead. If three competent people want to go then we can run a meet with a 25m max depth. If it gets more than that, then Laura and I will do what we can to arrange scuba cover. So - if it's coming up to a weekend, or you have a definite date in the next few weeks you would like to go, please post on here and then other people can join you. Bear in mind though that if you do suggest a date, you need to stick to it. Our safety plan means that we don't get in the water unless there are three of us who know what we're doing, so if you don't show at the last minute, it might mean the others drive a long way and don't get a dive. I will come to as many of these impromptu meets as I can, or at least make sure that one of the other experienced SaltFree-ers is there to keep an eye on things and with all the kit you need.

To start us off - this Saturday (5th Nov) me, Liv, Remi, Mandy and Matthias are diving at 11am at NDAC to 25m max. If you'd like to come, please post below. Saturday only this time.

See you down there

Sam

oh - and I know some of the Angels also read this forum - so if you see a bunch of freedivers organising a meet and are free/would like to come and Angel us - please don't hesitate to offer : ) I would of course clear it with Laura each time but it would be great to offer scuba cover sometimes through the winter as well, even if only a few of you are available. And I know how much you all love it down there in the chillier months......

Thanks

Sam

Indeed Sam, I'm often at the NDC during the winter, I'm more than happy to offer some cover if it co-incides with a visit.... :martial

Simon

Sam,

Is there still a dive scheduled with the EFR course in January ?

I'm up for any chance in Jan, Feb, March.

Lammy

whos up for a chilly one?

Does anyone fancy a dip at the end of the month? I was thinking 28 or 29 January with a session of 25m training i.e. practising style, equalisation and keeping warm!!!

If numbers get more than 4 then maybe we will approach the Angels and go deeper........

Happy new year

Hardest Dave

PS it gives you all time to buy some warmer gloves and boots!!!!!!!
