Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
I don't think he was underwater spearfishing.... or is that where the "wasn't one of ""us"" comes in, tragedy none the less.

Yeah Fred, that's what I meant. And, truth is, I shouldn't be lecturing anyone about safety. :naughty I'm the one who's been the closest to the "other side" out of all of us.

As of 7:35AM Central Time - the link is working.

We are talking about a spearfisherman (Native American style) who drown when he fell from his boat a couple days ago.

The Title of the newspaper article is Search continues for Wisconsin man who apparently drowned while spearfishing.

It seems as if the individual that drowned was an American Indian spearfishing from a boat. Not spearfishing as we know it. They are basically spotlighting fish at night in shallow water and spearing them with an oversize frog gig on a pole.

Just trying to clear up any confusion -

You Wisconsin guys have been quiet? Still too cold?

EDIT: Oops! unirdna beat me to it!

Too cold? No such thing...38F last weekend...dove without gloves. We would go all year round up here, but dont have anyway to cut holes in the ice.
