WLTB: Mares Apneist (or sporasub raptor)

Does anybody still have one or knows where to get a old school freediving computer, the mares apneist ( or the sporasub raptor, should be the same hardware) ? Since everybody has a d3 or f1, i guess they aren't much in use anymore, and i would really love to have one to play with....:inlove

Thanks,
Yaffle

Wow, that's been a while! The mares Apneist was my first freediving computer, when I bought it in 97 if I remember correctly. In 2001 the electronics quit and I bought a mosquito. But I still have that thing somewhere lying around.

I got the interface! So i can now hook it up to my computer, but...eeeeh.....still no Apneist or raptor to put in the interface....:waterwork
So guys/girls/anyone........please?

yaffle,

There is a Mares apneist on ebay for the next 13 hours.

I bought my Apneist when they first came out, and still use it today. Works fine, although it has a voracious appetite for batteries. I like the LARGE CHARACTERS on the display - it's the LARGE TYPE display for the elderly. The computer's overall large size is also helpful - makes it harder to misplace on the boat or to leave home. You KNOW when that bad boy's not in your kit bag.

If you click on the link above, you can see it quickly: US $76.00

I wonder how much they sold for new, back in the day. I have no recollection at all.

If he dives much, he'll probably spend more than $76 on AAA batteries over the first year he uses it! Mine finishes a Duracell in 2-3 hours.

Don't worry paul, got an F1 as backup.....or is it the other way around?:D

Greetings,
