Does anybody know what the world record distance covered scuba diving is? or even what rules would qualify? I would assume that tanks could be switched as needed. As well, I would assume that depth wouldn't be too important; So the entire journey could presumably take place at between 3 to 10 meters of depth.

My guess is it would be on a cave dive of some sort. Some of those cave systems are kilometres long and sometimes done as a single dive.

Here we go, I'm not sure if it is the longest but it is a cave and it is very long.
