I think he has it?

He's certainly a recording artist - no question. I find him a bit boring though.

Generally I prefer Katie Waissel as an overall artist but think her performance last night wasn't up to scratch.

Generally I’d sooner sit out in the garden in the pouring rain and howling wind, naked and sticking the blunt end of a tea spoon in my eyes than have to go through an episode of The X Factor-
But I must say the young-un can sing.:)

Sure - you are probably right but at least she has some personality and quirkiness unlike most of the contestants this year! Although not sure about her performances at all this weekend...

The X factor might not be every ones cup of tea - just the 18 billion people who watch it!
What ever anyone thinks of the program you would have to be completely tone death not to appreciate Mat Cardles amazing voice..
X factor's biggest success ,Leona, does a fab version of the song....but that guy is pretty damn good too...especially as he seemed such a scruff at first...but he's got a special voice with excellent control.,and that high register is something unusual in a man.

It was raining today. I'm painting tomorrow, I might put it on youtube whilst its drying

The rain continues...

That painter guy (Matt?) is good and getting better but the large Irish lady, Mary, has an amazing tone/depth (timbre?) to her voice - most of the singers are in-tune and can sing impressively but I just find their voices less-appealing, lacking something and some are even a little irritating/thin.

The little "Artful Dodger" from Wales, Cher, is the most interesting/original/creative IMHO though - but they seem to keep putting her on at the beginning/end, so I've missed all of her recent performances (I leave the room or switchover during the excessive ad breaks). I hope I am wrong but it looks like she might be anorexic to me - would hate to see another unnecessary tragedy like [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karen_Carpenter"]Karen Carpenter[/ame], or [ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lena_Zavaroni[/ame]:(.

You are right, Matt is good & keeps getting better, Mary & Cher didn't do so well this week IMHO (song choice).

Jeez, will this rain & fog never end! I did get to slice up a rather large, fallen tree with my chainsaw at the weekend. Winter therapy for the whole family - well the men-folk anyway.

Everyone seemed to have a blast lugging wood around and chopping things up. It went down even better than my other favourite activity for visitors from London - pheasant/duck plucking!:D
