Hi.

Please, does anyone here have some experience with this computer?
I'm thinking about buying some scuba diving computer and since I'm also freediver, I'm considering buying this one.
But at first I would like to hear some notices from scuba divers who have used it already.

Thanks.

Petr

I just checked Liquivision site a few days ago looking for some information and saw the X1 on offer, as a tech diving computer. My understanding on it is X1 is not for freediving as such, though it's likely to be only a software issue, whatever you upload in it, it will run, i have an F1 and it's as simple as that.

I don't see the f1 computer anymore on the liquivsion site? Is it being replaced by the x1?

Well, it really seems to be the case that the F1 is no more... The X1 is really targeted to tech divers. Also the $1400 USD price tag is just a little bit too much for joe average. I'm fully convinced that the computer is worth every penny, but this is just a little too much for a freediving computer as good as it may bee. I really hope that Eric will get this product going like crazy at the DEMA so that he can get some of his investment back from this.

The F1 is being phased out, replaced by the X1. The X1 has all the freediving functions of the F1, plus technical scuba functions, as well as open-source/open-platform software, and hardware expansion capability. Freedivers can also use the 3-axis accelerometer to log stroke information data.

Within 1 year there may be as many as 15 different commercial software packages available for the X1. So it is like a PC, you buy the hardware, then pick your software.

So X1 itself doesn't have any software in it?
I can't buy and dive "the same day"? I have to buy some software and install at first?
Are there already some softwares available and is possible to check them somehow before purchase?

I'm also worry about 20 hours operation time. Do I understand it well - If I would dive an hour a day - then I will be able to use it for 20 days before another recharging? But it would mean - that I switch it off after the dive, right? But then - how would be the desaturation counted? So - I should forget about using it for 20 days? Would it be much shorter?

Petr

Another question for Eric: is the API available, or did you program all those 15 commercial software packages alone? If there is an open API, where can one get hold of it? I did not find anything on your website.
