Hi Mundial,

You must feel so proud and also sad at the same time. That's amazing that you still have your grandparents alive still and they have lived through the generations. I cannot begin to imagine how they must have felt yesterday, remembering those 60 years ago.

God bless,
Sara

Word up.

Too bad a lot of people seem to have a really short memory. Guess we'll just have to keep reminding them...

I never got to meet my grandparents (from both mothers and fathers side).
My fathers family (his mother, father and 6 of his siblings) were murdered in the Bergen-Belzen, a NAZI concentration camp .

My mothers parents were starved to death during the "great march to communism" in the Soviet Russia.

Unfortunately there are still people (some misguided and others who are simply evil) who want to return to the "good old days" of the National Socialism and Communism all over the world.

to that I say; NEVER AGAIN.

Both of my grandfathers fought in WWII, one was RCAF Air crew, the other was a sapper with the Canadian Army, who had some pretty awful stories of the camps they encountered. hopefully never again.

War is the tool for greedy people to get richer. While there are greedy people there will be wars.
Only in the free world can we vote against wars.
And do we?
NO!!!

Thanks Mundial, Canadians take their veterans affairs very seriously. we're not a very large country, an were much smaller back then, but from 1939-45 half a million Canadians went to war, 40,000 never came home. Your autograph in the guest book probably made quite a few of them smile :D
