Hello everyone!

So im doing my apnea walks, swimming training, dynamics, statics, and just lots of diving. But I would like to further my training by taking up yoga.

The local studio offers Ashtanga and Iengar. What would be the better one for freediving? If there is a more suited type of yoga, what is it? I might try track another studio down if it offers a more suitable type of yoga for diving.

Thanks
-penguin

If you read French (or can use online translation), have a look at the website Pratique du yoga par l'apnéiste - which comes from a yoga school in Aix-en-Provence with a branch specialized for freedivers. It is mostly Pranayama / Hatha Yoga. There is also a lot of images of exercises on the website (for example here), and the names of the positions are original anyway, so you do not necessarily need to understand French a lot.

rbsub,
Great site. I'm looking into adding yoga to my training. I think that site will be a lot of help. I really liked the part about the complete breathe. Thanks!
