I'm selling my 1969 Johnson Submarine Speargun Single Barrel brand new in the box. Never been used in the water. Has all the original tags and paperwork with a handwritten letter from the company to the original owner.

I got an offer for $1800 on this. Can anyone tell me what this might be worth? I saw some 4 barrels selling for a lot more.

Comes with 20 cartridges .22 caliber blanks.

No rust or damage. This gun is literally in perfect condition.

Limited market as the gun is now banned nearly everywhere but the USA, being explosive powered fishing equipment. Value depends on who wants it. A museum may be glad to have it, although most collectors would have one by now. In Australia it would be seized at Customs Inwards and confiscated, so you will not get any buyers here. For a short period they were sold here, but would have been hoovered up during the gun amnesties where guns were turned in no questions asked. Probably worth a thousand bucks, but most likely as an item for display as no ammo these days in terms of the special Sub Ammo plastic sleeves.

Twenty cartridges is useful, but they would be used up in three or four dives.
