500$ Picasso... good price?

I purchased a $500+ suit from Picasso. Great suit...

Boy do I feel cheated. I could have purchased two suits for that price. I'll call Roger on Monday and hopefully I'll get somewhere, I think I was flat out deceived.

How long has www.scubastore.com been carrying these suits? I purchased mine several months ago, maybe scubastore did not carry this line at the time. Regardless, I think I have reason to be pretty pissed.

There are definitely some issues with prices of certain types of diving gear in the States (which is where I assume you are).

I live in Europe and I bought a pair of Omer Ice 3 fins via the internet but inside Europe for the equivalent of $150 US. Someone from the US was asking about this as the cheapest price he could get Stateside was nearly 300$. However when I priced them for him from my source in Europe it turned out they were $150 plus another $150 to get them to him in the States. Not sure if this is just postage (seems unlikely) or tax issues as well.

I've visited the States quite a bit and although prices vary from State to State (Florida cheap, New York not), generally it's all a lot cheaper than Europe. However the Internet seems to be having a big effect on all retale sales and it definitely pays to shop around.

Don't think you're the first person to be caught like this, but have you confirmed the price delivered US from the Scubastore (which is in Spain).

I purchased a $500+ suit from Picasso. I think I have reason to be pretty pissed.

Join the club. Many of us went through the same thing before internet shopping picked up a few years ago.

Same thing happened to me, except my $500 suit was a scuba suit that wasn't good for freediving. I re-sold it for less than $100

I guess Picasso is based in Spain...

First of all I have a 7mm Yazbeck suit. Yazbeck suits are endorsed by Picasso, and apparently the Yazbeck suits use Yamamoto neoprene, whereas the standard picasso termic suits do not. Yamamoto neoprene is apparently a better make...

I guess hindsight is 20/20... I would've purchased picasso termic suit from scubastore and saved the money. I doubt I would be able to distinguish the difference between two types of neoprene. The suit that I have is still really nice, so I'm happy.

Picasso has to increase the price rates in the US to maintain their store, etc. The warehouse is actually in Spain, I wasn't aware of this.
