A new freediving project: Airpockets

Hi all,

We at freedivewire.com have been working hard on a new project we call Airpockets. It is an interactive map specifically for freedivers where you can find and log dive sites, competitions, courses and other freediving related information.

Please have a look at our teaser at www.getairpockets.com.

We are hoping to launch Airpockets in the near future. In the meantime, feel free to suggest features and ideas.

How does it work? Could you find people in your vicinity to freedive with? Check their profile and availability? A site to connect dive buddies is what we really need.

You will be able to connect with people through the dive sites listed and through the comments on dive sites. People will be able to build a profile as well.

Try to make it as friendly as possible for finding other divers. DB once worked extremely well for me, but less so in the last few years, not sure why. This type of service will be greatly attractive for the site.

This will be a global 'app/website', but only in English at the start. Shouldn't be a problem for you Aussies .

Hey Quincho, I'm still working hard on this, but have run into some unforeseen issues . I'm not giving up though! I'll let you know when I have the initial version ready to go.
