Matt I think the d3 only keeps a record of your last 300 dives which is probably less than a months worth

The smoothskins are meant to be better on a boat aswell - they are meant to dry out faster on their surface as they hold less water than their nylon counterparts. Less water on the surface of the suit is meant to conduct less warmth away from you. Thats the info Dave T told me and it makes sense.
Like you Matt, I am sure its marginal, but I feel like I move through the water with less resistance with a smoothy. Pretty sure its marginal if at all though (but any advantage I can get I will)
