Hi to everyone,

I'm facing a tough decision at the moment. Here in Sabanci University I plan to found a freediving club as a sub-branch of the SCUBA club. My concern is about the freediving education. Here in Istanbul there is only two places where you can get freediving education. However, both are very expensive and I am not sure whether the students can afford such amounts :( Considering my personal freediving experience -I've been freediving for about 7 years- and the theoretical knowledge that I gained from freediving websites like this one and other sources, I was thinking to open a free theoretical course and start a training program by myself. What do you think about this? Shall I go on and take such a responsibility or do we need to pay for more professional assistance

I say "Go for It" Just stress safety, and the rest should be fairly straight forward. Just make sure you've got insurance.
Good luck,

Eren,

I am with Eric about going for a new challenge, AND knowledge of what you are getting into will help you choose for yourself.

You might want to contact folks who are already running sucessful training programs. They will be able to give you insights nobody else can.

Brett LeMaster and Kirk Krack @ performancefreediving.com are the guys I am most familiar with. There are many others.

Good Luck,

Aaron
