Anyone have a prefferred method of caring for abalone shells. I have a bunch and don't really know how to care for them. When I leave them outside our temperate rainforest-type climate grows lots of moss and algaes on them dulling theire shine.

Someone say abalone??

Short of moving from Oregon, not a bad idea in any season, take the shells and clean and dry them so they're dry, really dry. As in bone dry. Brush on some West Systems epoxy with the clear ctalyst and forget about 'em. For indoor use, just wipe with mineral oil and when you dust, just reapply.

Done deal.

Dusting?
someone mentioned dusting? On a spearos board?
Waaaay to domesticated for me :)
