I'm not sure how many are aware of this, but if you take 1 tablespoon of L-Glutamine in a small glass of water, it tightens the sphincter (??) in the esophagus area thereby preventing acid reflux...it does work by the way. :)

Thats interesting. For a while, acid reflux was spoiling my dives. Upside down with pressure from weight belt etc. does not help either. My solution was Zantac tablets - a beta blocker or something like that - reduces production of stomach acid. To a certain degree I think it also cured my seasickness in the water, but maybe that was part of the excess stomach acid all along.

What is this L-Glutamine? Is it available at the chemists? What is it used for generally?

You could try sticking the loo roll in the fridge to stop that happening rofl
