Wow, that's really something. It sucks that there are so many weirdos out there. Unfortunately, they're pretty common. You're a pretty nice guy to say that it pained you to let her go. If I were you, I'd be wearing garlic and sleeping with a cross at this point.
Here's my latest experience. There's a really creepy guy in one of my classes who likes to sneak up behind me and loom over me. The other day, he crept up while I was standing at the campfire and proceeded to pick loose hairs from my sweatshirt. I don't know this guy, he really repulses me, and he did this without my knowing. This was a major creepy moment, and it affected the entire lab. It should have been a nice one - using a mobile dimensions mill, picking up logs with the log trailer, and burning stuff. Instead, I kept trying to avoid looking at him or being in the same proximity. Fortunately, my intimidating female friend gave him some menacing looks and he went away. Throughout the day, he continued to position himself directly in my line of vision, sometimes planting himself within five feet, right in front of me, and staring blatantly. It's like an annoying fly that won't go away, but about six feet two inches tall, skinny with a potbelly, and wearing shirts with dragons on them. Ugh.
Suspicious, eerie rubes elicit new alarm; damsels escape.
ps - at this point, it's just the thorn.
