Christmas Heralds Rampant Insane Spending To Managers And Shopkeepers.

So some of us are skiing, others surfing. Isn't it wonderful how the web brings so many diverse people together from all over the world:)
The weather is beautiful here but that means people need icecreams, drinks and gas. It breaks my heart:waterwork At least the crazy season gives me a chance to practice staying calm.:vangry

Surprises have often perpetuated kindness; extraordinary efforts please even raging shopkeepers.

Adam, I bet one of those ice-cream eating, drink buying and gas needing customers will do something to put a smile on your face :t

happy new year to all my acronym pals!

Pivoting roundly on waves expresses surfer's satisfaction.

My buddy and I have a 20+ year tradition: at 5am on New Year's Day, we get in the water - Surfing, diving, kayaking sailing, whatever, we just make sure to get wet every New Year's. We've had 50ft vis (good in Ventura), 70ºf air/water temps; and we've surfed 12-15' waves in 45ºf air/water, in horrible "Victory at Sea" contitions, two years ago, we helped my Dad sail his boat from Long Beach to Ventura Harbor. It's been a lot of fun, and has helped reaffirm a long standing friendship. :)

Anyone else have New Year's traditions?

Nice job on "Girls Go Deep" Kelp Princess. :friday Enjoyed reading it (twice).

Can't say I have a New Years tradition like yours Rick. Maybe I should start one, yours sounds great.

The Germans have a tradition of blowing things up on New Years - to the tune of about 40 Million Euro spent on fireworks.....

My first thought was rather smutty so I think I will give you the clean version.....

My most usual tradition is getting too drunk and dancing.......

Like An Underwater Goat Herder Tethering Excitable Rams!

Not this year however as i'm staying in with the family and taking it easy

(Surfs going to be pumping New Years day too)

Have a good one everyone!

Randy Adam Breathalysed Bonita In Thoughtful Silence:)

(yes it is in the dictionary)

It turned out she was over the limit. She was sentenced to 45 days in jail but only served 23 minutes due to overcrowding and the fact that she was an heiress to a multi-million dollar fortune.rofl

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!! MAY IT BE A FANTASTIC YEAR FOR ALL!!!:friday

Yipey!!!!!!, often underscores nights giggling stupor toasting each reveler.

Cheers to all DB members and a Happy New Year to you all. I've enjoyed reading through the forums on this site and gaining so much needed knowledge in both Freediving and Spearfishing. I thank all of you for your kind and informative posts. I always look forward to weeding through what you all have to say whenever I get the chance. 2008 should get me back into the water in the spring and I'm making a New Years Resolution to stay fit, healthy and continue my Freediving / Spearfishing journey. Thanks Again.

Stay true: underwater passion, obsession, religion

Thanks to everyone on DB for making last year such a great one and i'm sure 2008 is going to be better. I wish everyone the best of luck, happiness and neoprene scented dampness for the coming year.

Well, I liquored lightly yesterday. Now, I'm lacking loud yacking!rofl:yack

I'd love to say that I drank moderately last night, but instead I must admit that after only two shots of scotch, I fell asleep until midnight, when my Wife woke me!rofl

yesterday

Yuletide expired so the ever resilient drunks ambled yonder.

But , before they did, they screamed in the streets for 5 hours and made a general nuisance of themselves through the neighborhood. The only thing i appreciated about the new years eve was that the library of libations was open late, so when i got out of my meeting at 10:30 i still had time to get some skyy90 and kahluah for a white russian before bed.

Dreaming rarely unveils neat knightly specialties.

I spent four days at the coast with my family. We stayed near Santa Cruz. Our New Year's was remarkably uneventful, but pleasant. That is, until the drunks started returning to the motel, clomping and talking and slamming doors. Nice beginning to the year, huh?

I wish all of my DB family a safe and happy 2008 :)

Really expecting joyful undertakings, very exciting new adventures to initiate - outstanding newyear!

Trying to be optimistic here. On the upside, I turn 27 in a few months. The odd numbers are always better. 26 sucks.

Happy B-Day Miss BatRay.:fridayNothing like celebrating a couple months ahead of time.:)
I think we may have set a snowfall record for December here in Wisconsin. If not, it's very close to it. This weekend brings temps in the 40's which will cause messy driving etc.. in the evenings when it cools down. Mountains in the U.P. should hold plenty of snow for skiing:). You know where I'm headed.:t See ya.

Oh well, you'll beat me to 27 BatRay by a few days. Let me know what to expect. You know, things like a second row of teeth that pop in during the night before, or growing a prehensile tail, etc. 26 hasn't been too hideous for me, but, it still has to go.
