Aeris F.10 V2

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Ok, but so... then another question... What version is the model presented on many online stores, as it has the some differences as told here from the old versions...? In the pictures actually shown you can see "stop" instead of "mode", (it has a brown ring around the screen... a new color...)...

Any news on the testing and release? Is it really going to be February 2012 before we can lock this beast around our wrists?

Yaffle

Hi,
I don't have an update right now. We've submitted all our findings and suggestions and last I spoke with Aeris these were being collated and passed on to the programmers etc. I'll post as soon as I hear from them.

Hi,
It seems that some shops already offer the v.2 version. Any Ideas about that?

Yes, I've confirmed the V.2 started shipping the first of the month. I really like this unit! Main improvements, for me, are the setable activation depth, shorter time remaining in wet mode after a dive (12 hours instead of 24 - in the background) and the elimination of wet activation. There are several other things too but those are the biggies for me. It's been great for pool training.

Fondueset,
I posted in another thread but didn't get an answer. I hope you can help me. I got my gauge all set ( I thought) and took it to the pool. Now the screen says "OFF" with a little square and it will not go back into watch mode? Any ideas what is going on and how I can fix it?
thanks,
Carla

Hi Carla - call Aeris tech support. They've been really good with me - the number is in the manual.

ok thanks. I asked my buddies who have the old version and they were clueless so I will call.

I JUST bought a V1 (as I couldn't wait until early 2012 as indicated the release would be).

Any idea if / how / when I can update the firmware?

I believe the hardware is all identical.

Hi ApneaAddict. I was told there are hardware changes which preclude turning a V1 into a V2.

I can confirm that the V2 is out as I own one. Got it last week actually. Have dived in the pool today and was puzzled as to why my mates watch showed wet while mine didnt. but thanks to this thread it all makes sense now!.

I will have to set it manually next time im training or diving I can report back if anyone is interested.

Cheers guys!

Only the color of the insert that labels the buttons - also 'mode' is 'stop' on F.10 v2. Revision is 2A.

Hi,

i've bougt me one and have looked directly on this button. I have ordered a V2 but i have only a MODE instead a STOP button, but i can change the new settings like activation depth 0,6m in the options menu.
The revision is 2A.
I don't know if i have really the V2.
What do you guys think?

Thank you for your help.

Best regards.

It is the v2, they finally didn`t change the name of the button.
You`ll be happy with it.

Any way to stop an audio alarm on the V2 once it started or should I always wait the 10-15 seconds?

I have sometimes the problem, that if i switch on dry land into FREE Mode the dive is starting without contact with water. The display shows 1-1,3m and is counting. The activation depth is set at 0,6m. I have to replace the batterie to get in normal mode.
Does anybody knows how i can solve this problem???

Best regards and thx for answers.
