How is age a factor in freediving. The metabolism of the body becomes lower with age which should be a positive factor for us reaching the upper 30's and beyond. However the body also becomes more senitive to stress with age. Any views/experience on this?

AAHH ... the young vs. the still young :D , can't wait for the replies .
I think we peak in the 30's .

Where's Bill?

The senior expert on these forums is Bill, who at 62 is still getting new pb's. I'm 42 and all of my pb's have been in the past two months and I'm certainly looking towards breaking them many times over.

Getting old sucks. Only when you look at the other choice is it even acceptable. The US government took my licence off me when I turned 60 and banished me to this far corner of the planet. Nothing left in life but ride my bicycle, take care of the parrot, fish, ham radio, try to keep a woman happy and dive.
A toast to arteries, the only part of the body that gets firmer with age.
Last week, I did a comfortable seven minute dry static but, when I did 7:05 on Monday it really hurt. Guess I'm a little older.
