Just a quick question to Sandi and the organisers about the payments.... if I am to pay before the 10th of May (cutting it fine I know) and i'm entering in all 3 events, my fee payable would be 22 euro x 3 = 66 euro? And the cost for 1 coach is 20 euro in total?

Also, with the accommodation we have to pay this when we pay our registration fee? Do we have to pay for food up front as well, or can we pay this when we eat?

Cheers,
Ben

I got an email from Sandi this morning confirming what I said above.

Accommodation and food need to be paid for when paying for the registration fee. I'm not sure about this as meals can be sporadic during these comp type things (eg. No breakfast, eat late lunch and late dinner). The food is cheap anyway but I just want to make sure I get it right before paying.

Anyone got any advice ie. those that went to the MAD Cup this year?

Cheers,
Ben

Food was decent at the Canteen downstairs at the Dorm and yes, quite cheap. Then again, this is a WC event and i suspect everybody will want to watch the intake, so quality of food will prevail over price. Yet, if you want to warm meal without much hassle, it's a good afordable choice. Beware of the fixed hours, in particular dinner i recall had some odd timing (from 5.30pm to 7pm if i am not wrong)

Hello Folks,

I, and two friends of mine are probably landing in Ljubljana on July the 1st at 22:50. We're considering taking the bus. Are there any planning on landing on that day at Ljubljana so we can split the E 90 in more than 3 parts?

The next sunday we plan on going back from the same airport.

Thanks!

Oh and BTW I would be very intrested to learn who will be there!

Love, peace and water!

Kars

Team Australia will be there again

There's also a chance that the team may double in size this year, to 2!!

I think we're going to Graz on the Saturday morning and will arrive in Maribor later afternoon, then head back out on the 8th, hopefully hungover :friday

Cheers,
Ben

Hey Benny,
nice to hear that team Australia will be at worlds again - some people from Greece will be going but we have yet to find out who (at the moment it is only me that is definitely going). I will probably be flying to Graz on Saturday and leaving on the 8th...maybe we can work out a bus sharing agreement (during the bus ride I am willing to share my diaphragm stretching routine if you will share your findings on "how to improve your drinking tolerance while training for freediving")
Cheers Stavros

Hi everybody

We now have 23 countries confirmed and 2 more unconfirmed. I'll be putting the in-list online in a couple of days.

There are still free starting places left so...

Team Denmark is going - 5 men and 3 women. Three of us will arrive in Graz on the Saturday and go to Maribor in the afternoon. One is arriving Saturday night and one is arriving Tuesday, and the rest I don't know yet.

Looking forward to seeing you there

Still waiting for the inlist...

Thank you Sansan,

Always a pleasure to see Evita. Looks like it was a great atmosphere there. On the other hand, the video did seem to be a little bit skewed towards the sambas. If you were to use this video in a presentation to the media, say, they'd probably get the impression sambas are the norm, rather than an exception.

The shots of people monofinning, however, and the different techniques displayed side by side, were very beautiful.

Dannybuoy, I agree it would not fit the 'general public' accesebility. It's clearly made twards participants, the freedivers. I think it shows a ready and well oiled organisation, ready to with good safetydivers.

In all a good clip, nice pace, images, editing, story, people and music. I'm looking forward putting my best fin forward

Love, peace and water,

Kars

Yeah, a good clip. It was funny to say, that most of the asked answered "perfect" for the organization.
