Hello!

I'm an Army Captain who just moved to Oahu from Richmond, VA a little over three weeks ago and sort of accidentally fell into free diving thanks to a strong background in swimming from age six until college. I'm really loving it so far if it can't be discerned from the attached pictures and finally got a real pair of free diving fins (as opposed to scuba fins) - which I'm already looking at replacing with carbon fins and a wetsuit within the last week. I'm doing a FII course this upcoming week as I'm usually out solo, so I figure a little education from a pro will help me be safe.

Hoping to learn a lot from the experienced divers here on deeper blue. Thanks for taking the time to read the life story!
