Aloha from Maui

Hi folks - my name is David & I live in Lahaina Maui. I am a spearo & usually dive about twice a week 12 months a year. My favorite fish to hunt are Uku (grey snapper) Omilu (blue fin trevally) & Mu (big eye emperor). Of the 3 varieties Mu would have to be the most challenging to stalk.
Recently I purchased a scupper pro kayak in an effort to extend my diving options & shoot pelagics such as Mahi Mahi (dorado) & Ono (wahoo).
My favorite gun is the Hatch 60 "Uku" mid handle with enclosed track & Rob Allen reel.

Aloha and welcome!
We usually have the same year round diving but a little colder water.
That being said, I have not been out in over a week because of the "Pineapple Express" rainfall. Mahalo for that.
My dream fish is a Ono. Either Hawaii or Baja.

Most of the stink weather missed Maui & hit Oahu. Water has been pretty green on the shore dives & a surfer was bitten by a shark while surfing outside Kahului harbor. Managed to score a 5 lb "MU" Tuesday afternoon despite the less than ideal conditions.
