That's a ggod pic. But It's not that funny. I'm a rescue swimmer for the Coast Guard. We do stuff like that and sharks are always a concern. Actually "predatory marine life" is a reason to not get put into the water. And the fins we use aren't force fins. We use Rockets. Some of us bigger guys (shoe size 14 for me) use Super Rockets. But a good pic anyway!

Octopusman has a point...the GG bridge is sort of one edge of the "White Triangle" in the SF Bay.
That all being said, there are many of us (myself included) that have swum directly under the bridge for "fun" or "sport" or "recreation".
It's actually quite amazing to be able to look up from underneath the bridge as you ride the tide under the span (almost directly where the "shark" is in the picture).
Anywhere from 30-60 minutes of fun, depending on the tide and your judge of direction.
