Hi im from down there in the Spearo section but have been reading up on the beginner free diving information. I`m planning on doing one of the basic freediving courses, probably the Somerset one.

aaaanyway I`m a code monkey and decided to make my own co2 / o2 table application mainly for a bit of fun.

The first draft is here

apnea

Its not finished yet but while it was still in the early stages I thought I`d ask for input from people that actually know what they are talking about. What would you like to see in such an application?

Im going to put voice queues on it for a start instead of beeps....

So we have to remember the time of our breath holding while we are doing it, rather than just see the time schedule and come up then. I cant see the benefit of your table compared with existing ones. Whats better with yours?

Nothing is better Im asking what people would like to see to make it better.

Though I must say im not sure what you mean, it counts down the time for your breathe hold / rest cycles so you don't have to remember anything?

I actually like the way in which when you insert the times they appear in both tables so that you can see exactly what you are looking at instead of having to hit a start/submit button to view the results of the table; it's also good in that the figures are displayed in both table formats which means all that is required is inserting the seconds that will be used for the tables, and you just select which of the two tables you will be using. :)

Many do twice or even 10 times that last row in your table...

So would you put there a question like:
How many times the max row ______ (1-10 times)
(you with better English know how to put it...e.g. Repetition of the max?)

So the table will be longer, if you want to do "the max row" more than once, as it is now in your table.

E.G: max row 3 times:
Start CO2
.
.
.
30 2:00
15 2:00
15 2:00
15 2:00
(End)

Yes, I do sometimes CO2-tables so that there are in the end:
10 times 15 sek ventilation between breath holds.
But maybe 10 times in unusual much, but 2-5 times is common. I mean, if the lenght of table is a technical problem, 3-5 max times would be ok in normal use.

Noted ;)

I not really wonder why I don't get these kind of errors... they haven't this :mute

Yes, I tested with several last loops...also 100 loops were possible. No, I wasn't able to done it in practise...

lol well you can put in as many as you want , should i limit it do you think ? lol

I've updated the application so it remembers the last Table you ran so you can just run the opposite next time you visit. It also stores the values you used.

Ive updated this again, it now remembers your c02 times and your 02 times, when you log in it automatically loads the times for the table it thinks you will be doing next.

It saves the times when you run a table.

Is this intuitive or not ? I like it but I`m not sure if it might be confusing for users ?
