Even the most experienced of divers occasionally suffer from a little anxiety, have you ever felt anxious prior to or during diving, if so how do you deal with it, what calms you down?

Sometimes it may happen due to fear, or something that happed in the past, related to water. it passed but not so easy.

As people we think of the worst that could happen ,This is mental preparation for the dive. Then we could evolve in to a positive mental state what is the most positive thing that could happen ! spear a champion of all fish ,Discover a lost city or sunken ship full of historical objects never seen for decades.Good breathing a short mental meditation perhaps some stretching to rid our selfes of any tention .In any ambiant place be it water, land, air ,space, We are forever aware of our surroundings challenging the moments for something new .People are commonly with fear of what they dont know or under stand.I chose reality not Holly wood .Curiosity is just the beginning of a new adventure

Anxiety in scuba diving, or everyday life, is a mental state that can cause emotional and physical symptoms which can range from an accelerated heartbeat to the paralyzing feelings of a panic strike. Recent proof suggests that individuals who usually have higher levels of anxiety in their day-to-day life are at an even higher risk of experiencing anxiety or panic underwater.

Prevention Anxiety Underwater:
  • Avoid alcohol or caffeine
  • Never dive beyond your skill level
  • Practice your skills
  • Honest Communication

Anxiety before a dive is pretty common, all kinds of reasons. Mostly I just do the dive. Anxiety almost always disappears once the dive is underway.
Sometimes it continues into the dives and surface intervals. Conditions are usually lousy, again for any number of reasons. Its not fun, so its time to do something else.

Maybe others here have some creative tips for managing underwater anxiety? Sharing experiences and finding common ground can be a powerful tool

Struggles with anxiety can really turn a breathtaking underwater world into a swirling vortex of "what ifs." It happened to me once on a snorkeling trip in the Bahamas. Crystal-clear water surrounded by vibrant coral reefs suddenly felt like a cage.
