Looking for other divers to charter boats with and go out to rigs or other bluewater areas for spearfishing.
Also interested in finding schooling pelagics(tuna, yellowtail, and other large) and freediving.
I have been to the rigs several times off Port Aransas and Matagorda. Dove and spearfished quite a bit in the Carribean.
Would like to do more weekend trips to the gulf leaving from one of the ports between Galveston and Port Aransas. I know a few capitans in Port Aransas.
Winter is fine for me. Would like to go mid Dec if possible. I have one friend that will go who is very a experienced Florida diver and capitan (turned Texan).
I understand that the visability has been bad from all the summer rains, and you have to go out further to find the blue water. Two capitans said that it should be better by mid Dec..
