I am trying to run 3-4 days aweek ( taboo for some i know!) but i am trying to mix in some brief apnea 15 sec or, while maintaing my regular 3 mile pace.

do any of you have experience with this?
Will this even help?

i am a spearfishermen more than a freediver, even though running is adversly affecting my breath hold ( my static is horrible ), i would like to get my body fat % down

thanks

I think I read somewhere on here that a good technique while running wasn't so much to hold your breath, but to control it. ie. breathe in for 4 steps, and breathe out for 8. Then just keep up this pattern. At least then you'd be training your body that O2 isn't unlimited.
