Apnea vs. tinnitus

Hi!

I recently got interested in freediving. I was trying some static apnea on my dry bed and after a few attempts (on different days) I made it to 4:15 which I think is not bad. BUT it seems it has affected / worsened my tinnitus (which I already had some before). I was curious if anyone had a similar experience? I'm now reluctant to try again...

In a previous attempt, I experienced a tingling sensation in all my limbs and maybe a bit of LMC. Is it hypoxia?

I also went to see a doctor but he couldn't see anything and didn't mention any connection to diving / equalisation of ears, he just suggested getting a MRI to check the ear nerves. I tried searching here and a few people had hearing problems in water but not from a dry static. One takeaway was to be careful with equalisation.

I can't say that is anything I've ever experienced before. I've got a bit of tinnitus, but have never noticed it getting worse during a breath hold or during any dives.

I'm not at my computer, so I'll answer in short for now: I can get a VERY loud tinnitus from certain breatholds... But it's only temporary.
Mainly the very hypoxic ones
I'm scared it has something to do with low O2 and something dying inside the ear. But honestly that's not likely. Most likely it's related to blood pressure changes.
