It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
how about just over routing it and glass bedding the spear in like you would a regular gun stock

It would get pretty hot on a stock removal pass, possibly even causing some ignition rofl Could you not laminate up a pair of semi circular grooves, then cut a slot in the top and finally use that burr to clean out the track?
 
Would you believe Keyside on the bridge - 7.5mm ball 3.2 shank = £5.00.
 
Yeah you are right mate but good for finishing the final track.
 
Absolutely, if you can get most of the waste out of the way first that could do just the job. How are you thinking of holding it? A Dremel type tool mounted under a table?
 
I would think OMD will make up something for me but i have got 3 more derlin tracks to use up first - happy days :)
 
If the tool is held rigidly under a table and a solid guide fence used there shouldn't be a wondering problem but chip clearance might be as well as vibration with such a narrow shank. Ultra light cuts are the order of the day but Foxfish won't have reached such a ripe old age without learning a bit of patience :) Somehow I think I'll have to pay for that rofl
 
rofl stick with the one you have, that top collar will melt the shank
