I got down to about 20ish ft before I knew about "squeeze" or the pain I felt in my ears...and why my mask was pushing on my face.
Now I get down to about 5' and there is a pain in my temple. I used to breathe in and out three times, exhale then dive...from what I've read that's not how freediving should be done.
Anyone that cares to respond it would be appreciated

Will

yeah no kiddin! That's called pulling a negative, Will and that feeling in your temple is most probably a bruised and/or clogged sinus. :blackeye

First off is to let that sinus heal and while (whilst) you're on the mend, score a copy of Freedive! by Terry Maas/Dave Sipperly. It'll give you the step by step.
