I got the above book, by Isaac Daly and Levi Brown, for Christmas.
It's good to see a new book on spearfishing. The information looks generally good to me although, despite having sections by various contributors, it seems to have a particular perspective which is quite mainstream although somewhat different to my own. It has an antipodean bias but most of it is either generally applicable or interesting anyway.
It seems overpriced at £15 for a book that looks and reads a lot like a magazine. £7 would be a more realistic price IMHO but it was crowd funded and caters for a relatively small, niche market. I see our glorious leader, Stephan Whalen, and Daniel Man (spearo YouTube video maker) contributed
Lots of nice photos and easy to read. This is not an instruction manual for complete beginners - check out Len Jones booklet for that or the "for dummies" articles and threads on this forum perhaps - but rather tips for those already spearing from some top spearos.
Apart from the price, I guess l would give this a thumbs up. Not essential reading by any means but you might learn something useful from it. If you are cash strapped though, a lot of similar information is already freely available on forums like this, where you can also ask and discuss questions and advice, and on YouTube, where there seem to be videos on almost everything these days.
