I went swimming today and there was another swimmer at my pool, a competitive swimmer, who swam 25 yards underwater without surfacing. That swimmer was doing dolphin kicks with no fins. The depth that she was in was like 4 feet. I swam underwater too with flutter 4 x 25y with one minute break in between. I heard that the size of the spaces inside your body are 1ATA/1.1ATA. 1.1 ATA is roughly the pressure. 1/1.1=~.909
Is it really true that the lungs of that swimmer and my swimmer shrank to like 90% of it's size at 4 feet deep water?
