hi

i recently was told that concentrating on a pleasent memory from the past one generates alpha waves which have the advantage of "slowing down" the brain which means less o2 consumption which in turn means longer breath-hold times.

does anyone have any specific information on that?

cheers

Nothing specific, but I've tried the technique and it has had positive results for me.

Also, I'm currently experimenting with a little electronic box that sends out audio / visual pulses ( using sound and lights ) using oscillations between 2 - 20 Mhz. It seems to fast track your brain into alpha patterns, and can calm your system down / send you to sleep very quickly.zzz

Unfortunately my experiments combining this with dry statics have so far been a disappointment - it hasn't made much of a difference and if anything, is a distraction. It might work better just before a static session, but I haven't tried that out yet.
