I've got a JBL Competition Mag, and I'm taking a trip to Charleston SC to do some diving with a friend from College. He works with a couple of guys who shoot some decent fish and I wanted to get some advice before I go as to if I should get a reel or a breakaway rig to a buoy? I've shot some carp in Wisconsin with no problem and one smaller sheepshead in Florida. I'm hoping for some snappers or even a hogfish, and I want to make sure I don't loose my stuff or the fish. I'm trying to keep the cost down so any advice is appreciated.

Yo, check out the threads on breakaway rigs. With the side line release on your gun, it is simple.
