Ok so ive rigged my gear for breakaway........

ive taken a shot and some fish takes me for an awesome ride......where's my gun??

i mean i let go of my gun and where does it go?? it floats fine....but where should i attach it since i wont be holding on to it cause im holding my float line with both hands.

Can anybody help please

Thanks
James

You could run the floatline through a clip attached to the gun handle before attaching to the shooting line. That way the fish can run with the spear and line while your gun will float along the floatline and end up at the float.
If you attach the clip to the gun with something that will let go at some depth (I think rob allen sells some rig like that) you won't loose the gun if the fish is strong enough to pull the float under

that sounds awfully complicated...just stick your arm through the bands, out of the way but close enough to use as a push pole if the sharks show up.
