Hey guys! Does anyone have any links to articles that talk about statistics related to the spearfishing industry (ie industry size, profitability etc)? I'm doing a project in a business class and am having trouble finding any information.

This is an ambitious project, and you may be breaking new ground. As far as I know, and I have been researching "spearfishing" and Apnea -related info for a few years, there is no comprehensive data source like you are seeking. Here's some things to consider: each country, and even territories within national borders, has differing levels of monitoring and oversight. Spearfishing is usually lumped under General Fishing and Harvesting Regulations. So the finer details get lost in the shuffle. Insofar as equipment sales and the statistics on growth, contact DEMA. For California related you might look into The Watermen's Alliance. They are probably the primary spearo advocacy group on the west coast.
