c4 skorpio flame fins for a carbon fin starter?

Hey Guys hopping that all of you are enjoying freediving where ever you are ... well i a live on the red sea cost and try to enjoy the warm weather and the good visibility as much as i can,,,

the only issue that there is no specialized Free diving stores where i live ... i've been using riffe long blades fins for around 2.5 years now and i guess they are OK as they are the only long blade fins i tried...

I am thinking about moving to a lighter fins and came across the skorpio flame c4 fins and they look interesting ... i am planning to purchase the 25 stiffness as most of dive's are less than 20m and i swim on the surface alot ....

if you guys thinks that their may be a better fin for a starter with average capabilities please do recommend

Welcome to DB. You cann't go wrong with the Skorpio Flames fins. At $199 euros plus shipping they are a great entry-level option for the carbon fins category. Also, they are made by C4, the company known for high quality and who basically invented carbon fin blades in the 1990s.

I haven't tried the Salvimar footpockets myself, but I recently read on an Italian forum that Skorpio will soon offer the Flames blades mounted on the Omer Stingray footpockets as well. The cost of those fins will be $209 euros since the Stingray footpockets are $10 euros more expesive than the Salvimar ones.

Regarding stiffness, what is your height, weight and overall fitness level? 25 may be too soft if you have a larger build. For instance I am 6.2 feet and weight 205 pounds. Stiffness 30 is just right for lots of surface swimming for me.

Well thanks for your replay you meade me even more excited in going ahead with my Skorpio Fins ... Well i am around 170 cm long and my wight it 66 Kiltos. my over all fitnes is avarage however i am planning to start cylcing & swimming to increase my overall fitness so i could enjoy this sport evenmore.

it's cheap and very good fins ..

just a quick note as it seems i am facing an issue purchasing the skorpio's ... what do you think about buying the c4-falcon-vgr-25 instead and fitting them to my riffe foot pockets as they fit me really well.

the shoes is the best in the market ..

the footpockets is better than omer's or any regular footpockets

the fins arrived and i used for a dynamic season in the pool .... Skorpio Flame are great fins in my opinion and i totally noticed the difference and i dont think i would ever go back to plastic ...

gr8 fins i am really happy that i bought them ... i contacted c4-usa directly throw e-mail and my issue was solved.

you can also do that throw c4 directly but the only accept money transferee.
