very windy here... there are clouds sprinting over the mountain behind us.
the waves were icky too, so my wetness today was chlorine based :)
but did some gooood dynamics training... so it's all good!

Hiya

GREAT to see so many capetonians here!! :D:D

Covert, if you're really, really, really determined to get in a dive this weekend, look at the Sandy Bay area. With this howling South Easter, the water should be crystal clean, but FREEZING cold!! (7-10degrees....) Won't be much too shoot, but you'll at least get wet.

The Clifton area would also be worth a look. Well protected from the South Easter.

With the 32degrees and 60km/h winds predicted for tommorow, MOST of the beaches will be packed!!

Have fun!!:D:D

Regards
miles

Sadly no dive report this monday .... :( Cuase the wind didnt play along .... it hurts my poor little heart. And what makes it worse,, i can almost sense Island_sands pointing a finger at me and snickering. But hey lets see what is up this weekend .... :D

shame you! everytime i have been to cape town to do the cage dive it has been to rough. :) there's your poetic justice :)

Dont worry mate, therell be more than enough time to get wet in the months to come, the best part of the year is upon us. The cape doctors got to do his job, blow away all the rubish and chase off the tourists ;) . Ill be in the Kleinmond area this weekend so Im also hoping for better wind conditions, dont wana be spending the whole weekend tying down the tent you know...

Well, while we wait for the SE's to grace us with clean water, at least we can get to meet for a drink or 2, so how about Deeper Blue's cookin, chaotic and sometimes confused Cape freedive team meeting for a few drinks, to put faces to names, and discuss the greater meaning of cold water, kelp forests and great white sharks?? :D

How about Wednesday evening, 6:30 pm, at the Alba Lounge, Waterfront??

Jeff

No worries, Tuesday I have a lecture, and thursday I may be going to George for 3 days, to dive the paquita wreck in 22 degree water..mmmmm... will let you know.

Jeff :D

Jeff take a 3mm suit, the 5mm suits we use are way too warm for those waters. I used my suit a total of 45mins this past holiday and spent the rest of it diving with a boardshort, gloves and booties. I only used the booties cause without them my fins gave me the most evil blisters Ive ever had, otherwise I would have gone without them too :) . Ahhh warm water is the best, cant wait for easter weekend when i head back in that direction for a few days hmm

Haha, we seem to be a busy lot here in the cape, Ive got a meeting this evening for a biigg project, so I wont be able to make it, I thought we here in the cape are said to be the laid back bunch of SA, cause we sit and like look at the mountain all day :)
