Hiya all!

John, I think I could get the guys who have made mine for me to make you one, will drop you an email with prices and stuff.
It was a bit of a mission to source the right materials et al, so if you want to save some time and error, learn from my mistakes!!

Hugs from dusty Dahab,
Hanli

sabc news say hectic front coming in from tomorrow with strong northwesters on sat (although windguru only shows mild south westers with plenty rain tomorrow) - where will be good for diving ?

Jeremy Williams (from Rob Allen) loves catching and eating octopus. He tells some of the funniest stories about catching the sticky buggers.
He also has some really good advice on cooking (and killing) them. I'll get him to recount his stories for me and post it here...

Hey Calliecal, you must still post those recipes and tips for me.

Yep, it doesn't look good. The Navy is having their festival this weekend, so maybe checking out boats and drinking Guiness in Simon's Town will be a better option.

Hey Sean, I would not pay anyone to work on my gun, 95% of the stuff one can do one self. Also i have made up quite a list a different places where one can get parts for much cheaper. Louis is a good guy and he has everything you need, but you pay through your ear for it. I've always had to spearfish on a shoestring, i have also been restoreing some older guns, so i have learnt alot about where to get stuff on a tight budget.

Also guys i would not trust the SABC (very unreliable). Try www.windinder.com
Prediction is a mild southerly (5 knots) getting stronger later to the evening 5pm.
I suspect with the weird westerly wind today and yesterday (getting stronger 2night) , also considering how flat falsebay is today. I rekon an early morning dive at Smits ot Millers would be quite promising. That's my Guess

Falsebay around kalkbay this morning was a mirror. If i did not have to work + did not have the flu, I would be treasure hunting off the harbour wall this morning.

Lenny...is it clean? mirror sometimes means flat...lol....sorry dude..but i got no petrol to go that side unless tis sparkling clean :)

Yeah, when i say "mirror" i mean flat, that's what i could see from the road.
As far as viz is concerned i'm not sure, best person to ask is x-yeti (John) cos his flat overlooks long beach, Simonstown. Also i'm going through again tonight and coming back in the morning, i could probally get you a viz report in the early morning. Would love to dive with ya but i'm a bit too sick. :(

It is quite hard to judge vis today because it is overcast. Take a look at Weatherman John's Daily Pic. I'm going to take a quick dip around the Clan Stuart, so I'll give you an updated report later :)
