So anybody get some this weekend? I sure didnt vis was crappy in the lagoon and there were too many fisherman around the langebaan area, thought the better of entering the water with a bunch of beer swiggin guys with lead sinkers and hooks attached to lines lookin on, I mite become target practice ya know. Also saw the whole area is MPA, no spearfishin :martial So just had a nice relaxing one :friday

went out to bakoven, sat but viz was crap and all the hottie's were in hiding, Water was also lekka choppy and poor old john nearly puked in his snorkel :) so we were only in for a hour or so. did have a good swim against some strong current though :D

sounds charming! :)
i had some unexpected visitors so didn't even make the quarry...
but seb arriving thurs and some depth planned! great!

false bay getting prettier by the day.
let's hope we don't go dmack bang into winter though...
i want some summer weather for my international vizitorz!

Hi Guys

I got out to Cape Point on saturday afternoon, got in at Buffells for a hour to get some Crawlies. We walked about 500 meters towards the point from Buffels end parking circle, jumped in and drifted back to the cars. Viz initially about 10-12 meters, getting gradually worse as we got nearer to the cars. Also a lot more life further out, getting more barren as we got closer. Did'nt see any fish worth shooting apart from maybe one decent size hottie, but have to say that I felt strangely 'jumpy' and 'un-focused' the entire dive, as if I was being watched. From the moment I got in, to the moment I got out.

Funnily enought, the headline news story I hear today at Capetalk is about a warning from spotters about 'abnormally high' White shark activity the past few days in the false bay / Kommetjie / Noordhoek area! I guess there maybe something to this ESP thing! :D

Calling all Capetown Freedivers!!! Please join us for some drinks at the Extreme Hotel, corner of New Church and Bree Streets on Saturday evening at 7:30. Hopefully we will get to meet Sebastian ( Hanli will bring him thru) and we should have a good crowd to enjoy a few drinks and a bit of freediving jabber. :friday
Great venue if you've never been there, they are geared to adventure sports, and are very keen to have the freediving crowd over..bring your buddies and hope to see you all there!!!

Jeff :D

I know the place, I think were having a potjie comp over the weekend sometime but Ill know for sure tonight and let ya all know tomorrow.
Its a very cool venue by the way. All the finishes were imported from japan and china, the guys from plan one took a trip there to go source it all, including all lights, some wall and floor finishes and furniture, also the cleaning staff refuses to go into the smoking section because they have coffins as chairs and tables with a crowd looking down into a grave in the ceiling rofl .
I know all this cause were subcontracted by plan one to design hotels and they consulted with us on some araes, they also have a climbing wall on the one facade wich is very cool...
