Ive got a good idea where it is allready, if your looking out to sea its on the right hand side of the reserve. This wind will clear it rite...
Hey Faiz did you guys go diving this weekend?

Henre as you know by now .I dive every weekend.Me and Christo jump in near Sea point somewhere and for the first time in many months we did not get fish in this area.Water was very warm and clean in the morning.Only excitement was that I got dumped on the rocks.I will keep my ear to the ground for where the guys are diving locally.Unfortunely I have a few students in the pool this weekend coming.

Yea Ive also been diving every weekend or so for the past few weeks, trying different spots and grounds. No luck yet with all the places little or no fish. But sometime or another you have to jump in somewhere where there is actually some fish and the only way to find that will be to be in the water hey...

somehow of another we gotta get fish this weekend! there must be a spot in a 3 hour vacinity with decent viz and fish! gna try drag the lil lady along and may even camp over...

You got the place right at Draadbaai.Cut a few redbait pods ,take a swim away and come back after 10 to 15 minutes and you will be suprised at what you will see. Also remember in this area two guys is enough in the water. Also dive the place at daybreak.Phone me Friday night and I will give you some "rigting" to go to.

Mines workin this Saturday and Ive got a batchelors that starts at 2 in the afternoon. Im thinking of heading out to Bettys Bay early, leave home at 7 and I think its about a hour and a bits drive so in the water by 9 9:30 at the latest and heading home at about 12ish.
If theres tail in the bay I think Id pass them up for now as Im a bit skeptical of doing shore dives in that area this time of the year :martial

:-) yeah, although i feel strangely comfortable at buffels/smits with the gw's and all....and if we cant get tail there this time of year....well then we cant get tail there....they only there in the summer months anyways..
but betty's sounds shweet....looked at a satellite image of Draadbaai and it looks really good! lots of kelp, rocks and deep spots in between..

Daybreak !! WTF is that roflrofl
Seriously that mite fit in perfectly with my schedule, anybody up to head out to Bettys bay at like 5:30. Then we can be in the water at about 7ish, thats the closest Im gonna get to daybreak on a saturday rofl
Tides gonna be low though

sounds good dude. im definately there! only thing is that im not one for bad viz dives so it viz is shitty, i dunno if ill go in....especially it being a new spot for me and all....
but yeah, book me in!

Ja I decided not to take limpets again, to tough and too much trouble to get them eatable...
Man eating slugs on the other hand roflroflrofl
To be honest last weekend was a first and last one of those for me...

hey, its summer and them slugs are good in a potjie!!!! how can u say your last!!!!!!
but seriously, is this wind the best for Bettys (Draadbaai)? if so then we must make a set time and meet up there on saturday morning....unless by friday the weather isnt looking good...
So what u say? 7-7.30 ish?

Ill confirm a time with you toward the weekend...
Forecast gives westerlys for most of the week and my reasoning is if a westerly clears smuts it should clear bettys while SE will be opposite sides.

Sorry man, my Wednesday nights are booked :(
But I hear that you play underwater hockey. Which nights is that on? Can I come check it out?

Miles: What must the wind conditions be like for Betty's bay to be good diving?

hey guys, the Miss has told me shes signed me up for paintballing with her work, so im not gna be able to dive saturday morning, im only free after 1 (and u know u got that batchelors Henre) and sunday...so im gna go sunday if you guys have a good un on saturday when u go...sorry for the balls up!

Hey anyone go spearing this weekend?! the swell was up at big bay, went for a surf on saturday afternoon but the waves were huge!!!!!!!! finally made it out to the back only to find everyone there was under 15 years old! (surfing competition) anyway, i stayed for a lil while and after getting pounded by walls of whitewater i decided to catch a wave in and spent the rest of the day lying on the beach watching the lil guys rip thinking that ill be that good one day , haha

Ended up not diving, Lenny couldnt make it so was buddyless for Saturday. It did look like a nice day to go out though. But therell allways be another day.
