i am planning to buy picasso 100cm speargun
there is a good sale here than i decided to upgrade to carbon.
there are two kind 100 cm picasso carbon . one is carbon and the other is carbon kevlar. the difference in price is 10 euros.
is there anyone who have used them both, or have any idea about them.
For now i am positive about the carbon kevlar . just a little bit worried about it may cause a bit drag or may be heavy according to carbon.

any ideas?

Hi Kenten,

Memo asked same question somewhere else check it out;)

Since that thread seemed to go off tangent, my suggestion is to go with whatever feels best in your hands. I doubt there is much difference between the two and what ever variances should be negligible. If you trust the people working at the store, ask them & go with their reccomendation since they are more in tune with local usage.

thanks for the answers
i checked the other thread and talked to seller today.
it seems there is no clear difference in weight. The difference , as picasso website says is the thin layer of kevlar around the tube which is woven by thin kevlar wire. this makes it some degree stronger than the custom carbon when hit to rocks etc.
Wrapping a tape around may do the some job. but since there is not much difference in price i ordered the kevlar covered carbon today. i will still wrap tape around to protect my expensive kevlar and to keep it more silent anyway.
When i have the opportunity to try it underwater i will write.

kevlar is a good choice as the discounted prices only differs about 10euro

last weekend i used the gun. it have less drag than 100 excalibur. much more easy to manouver.
unfortuntely there was no fish so i had to try it on some small sorgos. aim seems better too. there was only one reasonable octopus so i shoot it. Aim is perfect from 1 m. to an unmoving 1 kg octopus :)
after reading memo's other thread i noticed some flex on barrel. but not that degree as on the pics.

as Shane referred earlier, I think barrel flex is not a big issue if you dont have a rail on your gun. It takes some power away but does not truly effects your precision.

I'm glad you liked your gun :)
