Caring for the mask

i just bought my first mask, Cressi matrix. the fella in the shop recomended the mask with black silicone and blue trim on it to cut out glare. now i just have 2 questions im hoping someone here can answer. i was testing it out just before out in the pool and i got to thinking, will the chlorine stuff up the silicone and send it haywire? and the second question is what do i do with it after i finish my dive, do i leave it in the sun to dry, wipe it down, put it back in the case and leave it or sit it on the table etc. all suggestions are greatly appreciated

i have done loads of pool training wearing a black silicone mask, as long as you wash with fresh water straight after the dive, let it dry out and then put it back in its box it will be fine. i have never wiped down a mask before (maybe i am a filthy git then ) - i just wash 'em and let them dry out with the rest of the gear... which reminds me, got some stuff out on the veranda i need to put away...

You shouldn't let it dry in direct sunlight. I guess it can harm the silicone or something.

At least it was said on the box of my OMER Abyss. Don't know how true it is.

yeah i think that goes for most diving gear.. dry it in the shade rog.

aw great thanks for the tips. its my first mask, im very proud of it lol and i want to look after it.
